System Integration
Indigo focuses on meta-information and semantics-related technologies in particular as core technologies for information systems and services in the coming age of ubiquitous information technology, and conducts R&D on solutions utilizing these technologies. In addition to R&D in the LBCS (location-based content and services) field, which is directly related to the term ubiquitous, we also build and provide a wide range of solutions, such as application of element technologies to enterprise information asset management area (enterprise contents management; ECM), by leveraging our unique high technical abilities. In tandem with R&D activities, we have also been active in a collective effort to standardize LBCS-related technologies and make proposals on an ongoing basis.

Since 2003, Indigo has been a member of the g-Contents Exchange Promotion Association led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan and developed proposals to promote distribution of g-content and international standardization of existing standards on an ongoing basis.
In addition, since 2004, the company has been a member of the LBCS Committee (Chairman: Prof. Okabe, Director of CSIS (Center for Spatial Information Science) Center, University of Tokyo) and the Investigation and Research Committee on the Standardization of Location Information in RF-ID-based systems (Chairman: Prof. Shibazaki, CSIS Center, University of Tokyo), where the company developed proposals on the collection and distribution technologies of location information that leverage Web technologies, such as Semantic Web and SVG.
From 2005 to the present time, the company has been an active member of these committees and their working groups and continues to make proposals.
Based on such activities that started in 2006, an open application public-private joint research project, "Research on Practical Dissemination Strategy for Cyber Japan (Denshi Kokudo) Using SVG Contents" was set in motion with the Geographical Survey Institute, and by releasing the results to the public, we are currently conducting a social experiment (July 19, 2007, thru March 31, 2009).
Additionally, in 2006, we established the "SVGMap Consortium" along with three other companies and are working to promote the standardization and dissemination of SVG Map technology.
